                    GIVING FANS SOMETHING TO HOOT ABOUT

                  Temple Owls to attend their 7th Bowl Game

   PHILADELPHIA, PA- December 4, 2017- Sunday afternoon, the Temple Owls learned that their dreams of attending a bowl game in Florida would be coming true. The Owls will play Florida International at the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla., on December 21, at 8:00 p.m. EST.

        The Owls secured their spot in the post-season after defeating Tulsa 43-22 on November 25. This will be the Owls third bowl game in a row, previously attending the Military Bowl and Boca Raton Bowl .The Owls have gone 6-6, 4-4 in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), and their opponents FIU, has gone 8-4, 5-3 in Conference USA.

         The Owls will make their way to St. Petersburg days before the game to participate in a host of events including, hospital visits, beach parties, and more. The game will take place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be broadcast by Philly’s own 97.5 The Fanatic and ESPN.
