RUBINSOHN TRAVEL EMAIL PITCH: HURRICANE JOSE IN THE WAY
Hi xxx,
Hope all is well.
A pair of beachgoers, father and son, from Pennsylvania, where rescued from strong 6 foot high rip currents at the Atlantic City beach this past weekend. The extreme rip currents are a result of soon approaching Hurricane Jose, a Category One storm approaching all beaches along the east coast; predicted to have affects locally, in the Northeast and Philadelphia region.
Due to the trauma and destruction caused by Hurricane Irma, forecasters have been closely watching the path of Hurricane Jose, resulting in The National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook, disclosing that Eastern Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey, will experience periods of gusty winds, rain, and possible beach erosion. The winds of Hurricane Jose are expected to be 85mph, and could be the first storm to have an effect in the region since 2012 Super Storm Sandy.
The incoming storm will affect the beach, with worsening conditions that include, pounding surf, beach erosion, and growing wave heights. These possible effects have prompted officials to caution beachgoers “to swim only near a lifeguard” and that all swimmers are limited only to knee-deep water.
Once excited travelers, with trips and vacations booked to the shore or on cruises are now worried about what Hurricane Jose means for their plans. Bill Rubinsohn, of Rubinsohn Travel located in Jenkintown, Pa., is a seasoned travel expert who is available to speak on the upcoming dangerous rip currents, severe rains, and destructive erosion that could affect your trip.
